The WA Children's Hospice, located in Swanbourne, is a purpose-built facility currently under construction by West to West. Once completed, the hospice will provide a warm, supportive environment for children requiring specialised care and their families. The facility includes seven patient bedrooms and two dedicated family suites, allowing parents and loved ones to remain close to their child throughout their stay, ensuring comfort and support during a challenging time. Our team was engaged to complete the roof sheeting installation for this significant project. The roofing system consists of Klip-Lok 700 roof sheeting in the Colorbond® colour Jasper, installed over a Pro Clima weather-resistant membrane and Structafloor substrate. This roofing system was selected to provide a durable, high-performance roof capable of delivering long-term weather protection while complementing the building's modern architectural design. The Klip-Lok 700 roof sheeting and associated roofing materials were supplied by Metroll, while the Pro Clima membrane was supplied by Passivhaus Perth. Using quality products from trusted suppliers has helped ensure the roofing system meets the project's performance requirements and provides a reliable building envelope. Throughout the installation, our team worked closely with the builder and other trades to maintain construction schedules while delivering a high standard of workmanship. Particular care was taken during the installation process to ensure the roof sheeting was installed accurately and that the weatherproofing system remained intact. As shown in the photos below, the roof sheeting installation has now been successfully completed across the entire building. The project has now progressed to the final stage of the roofing works, with the installation of the remaining flashings currently underway. Once these flashings have been completed, our roofing scope for the WA Children's Hospice will be finalised, providing a durable, weatherproof roof ready for the next stages of construction.
